CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 07 -127
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE LINO LAKES POLICE DEPARTMENT TO ENTER
INTO A GRANT AGREEMENT FOR THE SAFE & SOBER COMMUNITES PROGRAM
Resolved by the City Council of The City of Lino Lakes:
That the Lino Lakes Police Department is authorized to enter into a grant
agreement with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety, for
the project entitled "Safe & Sober Communities" during the period from October 1, 2007
through September 30, 2008.
Be It Further Resolved that the Chief of the Coon Rapids Police Department is
hereby authorized to execute such agreements and amendments as are necessary to
implement the project on behalf of the Lino Lakes Police Department and to be the
fiscal agent and administer the grant.

allowing the Lino Lakes Police Department to
participate in the Safe and Sober project

BACKGROUND
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety has once
again awarded a grant for the Anoka County law enforcement agencies to
participate in their Safe and Sober project for the period of October 1, 2007
through September 30, 2008. The Coon Rapids Police Department was
designated to execute such agreements and amendments as are necessary to
implement the project on behalf of the Lino Lakes Police Department.
Resolution #07 -127 allows the City of Lino Lakes to promote the Safe & Sober
Communities initiative.
OPTIONS
1. Approve Resolution 07 — 127.
2. Return to staff for further consideration.
RECOMMENDATION
1. Approve and sign.
