Council Member Carlson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
CITY OF LINO LAKES
COUNTY OF ANOKA
RESOLUTION NO. 07 -135
RESOLUTION APPROVING PEDDLERS LICENSE
WHEREAS, Minnesota Window & Siding Company, has submitted a peddler's license
application to the city clerk's office; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Window & Siding Company has complied with all of the
provisions of Ordinance No. 01 -89 of the Lino Lakes City Code for obtaining the
necessary license for a profit business; and
WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Police Department has conducted a background check on
all Minnesota Window & Siding Company representatives who would be soliciting;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it Resolved by the City Council of The City of Lino Lakes:
Minnesota Window & Siding Company is hereby authorized to solicit construction
services door to door for a period of six - months beginning September 10, 2007 and
ending March 10, 2008 subject to all conditions and provisions of said ordinance.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 10th day of September, 2007.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council
Member Stoltz and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof:
Carlson, Stoltz, O'Donnell, Reinert, Bergeson

Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

TOPIC: Resolution No. 07 -135, Approving Peddlers License
for Minnesota Window and Siding Co.
VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority (3/5 Vote)
BACKGROUND:
Minnesota Window & Siding Company, 1710 Douglas Drive, Golden Valley, MN,
has submitted a peddler's license application to the city clerk's office. The
company requests authorization to send company representatives door to door
in the city selling roofing, siding and gutters. The city has received the permit
fee and all the necessary forms required to issue Minnesota Window and Siding
a license. The Lino Lakes Police Department has performed a background
check on all company representatives that would be working in the city.
The application and all other required information is on file in the city clerk's
office for review.

Option No. 1
