CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 07 -181
RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 2
LEGACY AT WOODS EDGE PHASE 3 — STREETSCAPING IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, pursuant to the resolution of the Council adopted March 26, 2006, the construction
contract for the Legacy at Woods Edge Phase 3 — Streetscaping Improvements was awarded
to Jay Brothers, Inc, and
WHEREAS, construction of the Streetscaping improvements in front of the Lakewood
Apartment Building was postponed to allow private construction activities to be completed; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to modifying the contract to revise the completion date for public
improvements to October 26, 2007
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO
LAKES, MINNESOTA that:
1. Change Order No.2, revising the final completion date to October 26, 2007, is hereby
approved.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council
Member Stoltz and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof:
O'Donnell, Stoltz, Reinert, Carlson, Bergeson
The following voted against same:
none
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

2 ,Legacy at Woods Edge Phase 3 — Streetscaping
Improvements
Simple Majority
On March 23, 2006 the City Council awarded the base bid for the Legacy at Woods
Edge — Phase 3 Streetscaping Improvements to Jay Brothers, Inc. The Council
awarded bid alternate 1 to Jay Brothers, Inc on October 9, 2006.
Change Order No. 2 represents a revised final completion date for Streetscaping
improvements in front of the Lakewood Apartments to October 26, 2007. Work is to be
completed at the contract unit prices.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff is recommending the adoption of Resolution No. 07 -181, Approving Change Order
No.2. extending the completion date to October 26, 2007.

Description:
1. Revise final completion date for CU soils, sidewalk, landscaping, and irrigation in Right of Way in
front of the Lakewood Apartments to October 26, 2007. Work is to be completed at the contract unit
prices. All punchlist items, cleanup & restoration are to be completed and ready for final payment by the
fmal completion date of October 26, 2007.
Purpose of Change Order:
Revise final completion of work along the Lakewood Apartments in coordination with Frana Companies
construction of the Lakewood Apartments building.
