Council Member Stoltz introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 07 -184
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING $1,000 DONATION FROM TARGET FOR CONTINUED
SUPPORT OF THE DOMESTIC ABUSE RESPONSE TEAM

Target is aware that the Lino Lakes Police Department operates under the
Community Oriented Policing Philosophy. As part of this philosophy, the
department continually looks for ways to connect with the community and
strengthen the partnership between the police and community. The Lino
Lakes Police Department responds to incidents of domestic abuse and is
committed to ensuring that services are provided to the victims of this
crime that will lead to a lasting solution for those involved; and
Target supports the efforts of strengthening our community and the
families. The donation of $1,000 will be beneficial in identifying victims
caught in the cycle of family violence and help them get the services they
need to break this cycle. The ultimate goal will be the prevention of family
violence in our community; and
Target has donated $1,000 to the city in their support of this outreach
program in this community; and
the monies will be appropriated to the General Fund in the following
manner:
Increase Revenue — Contributions 101 - 3720 -000 $1,000.00
Increase Police Expenditure
(101- 420 - 4214 -000 Crime Prevention)
$1,000.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Lino Lakes City Council members, do
hereby accept the donation of $1,000.00 and wishe • express its gratitude to Target
for the donation.

Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

BACKGROUND
The Lino Lakes Police Department is requesting council to adopt Resolution No. 07-
• 184 and publicly accept and thank Target for their generous donation to the City of
Lino Lakes.
OPTIONS
1. Adopt Resolution No. 07 -184 accepting the donation.
2. Return the Resolution to staff for further information.
