RESOLUTION NO. 23 - 88
RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT FOR THE LINO LAKES CORRECTIONAL
FACILITY:
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has met with representatives of the State of
Minnesota regarding the proposed construction of the West Central Trunk
Sewer and Watermains; and
WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Correctional Facility has an existing sanitary
sewer system and water system; and
WHEREAS, improvements are necessary to the sewer system to comply with MPCA
requirements; and
WHEREAS, improvements are necessary to the water system to provide
additional fire flows and storage; and
WHEREAS, the staff of the Lino Lakes Correctional Faci I ity and the
Department of Administration need information for budgeting purposes;
including but not limited to, preliminary plans and cost estimates for on-
site improvements; location of the proposed connections to the Lino Lakes
trunk mains, special assessments, annual operating costs and construction
schedules; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Administration staff has requested that the City
provide the above mentioned data; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Lino Lakes Correctional Facility has agreed to
reimburse the City of Lino Lakes for preparation of the Feasibility Report.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LINO LAKES,
MINNESOTA:
That the proposed improvement to the Lino Lakes Correctional Facility Sewer
and Water system be referred to Mr. Ron Stahl berg for study and that he is
instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the
Council in a prel iminary way as to whether the proposed is feasible and as
to whether it should be made as proposed or in connection with some other
improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended.
