CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 04-125
RESOLUTION APPROVING PARKS, NATURAL OPEN
SPACE /GREENWAYS AND TRAIL SYSTEM PLAN
WHEREAS, Staff has been working since last fall with our planning consultant on
preparing/compiling information for the Parks, Natural Open Space /Greenways and Trail System
Plan.
AND WHEREAS, The purpose of this project is to tie together various plans into a cohesive,
consistent, and complementary vision of the future.
AND WHEREAS, The plan also focuses on development implementation strategies in order to
make the plan a reality.
AND WHEREAS, After several meetings with the City Council, Park Board, Environmental
Board and Planning and Zoning Board, as well as an Open House on June 7th, the Parks, Natural
Open Space /Greenways and Trail System Plan is ready for approval and implementation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO
LAKES, MINNESOTA:, That the City Council hereby approves the Parks, Natural Open
Space /Greenways and Trail System Plan prepared by Brauer and Associates, dated August,
2004.
Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 23rd day of August, 2004.

Consideration of Resolution 04 -125, Approving Parks,
Natural Open Space /Greenways and Trail System
Plan
Simple Majority
Staff has been working since last fall with our planning consultant on
preparing /compiling information for the Parks, Natural Open Space /Greenways and
Trail System Plan. The purpose of this project is to tie together various plans into a
cohesive, consistent, and complementary vision of the future. The plan also focuses on
development implementation strategies in order to make the plan a reality.
After several meetings with the City Council, Park Board, Environmental Board and
Planning and Zoning members, as well as an Open House on June 7th, the Parks,
Natural Open Space /Greenways and Trail System Plan is ready for approval and
implementation. There have not been any changes to the plan since the July 21st City
Council Work Session where Jeff Schonebauer, of Brauer and Associates, reviewed the
final draft of the Parks, Greenways, and Trail System Plan.
OPTIONS:
1. Approve Resolution 04 -125, Approving Parks, Natural Open
Space /Greenways and Trail System Plan.
2. Return to staff for further review.
RECOMMENDATION:
Option 1.
