CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 04 -148
AUTHORIZING CITY TO
ACCEPT THE 2004 DNR OAK WILT GRANT
WHEREAS, The Lino Lakes City Council annually submits a DNR Oak Wilt grant
application; and
WHEREAS, The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has approved the Oak
Wilt Grant Application and authorized a matching grant in the amount of $7,000; and
WHERAS, The Oak Wilt grant monies are used to cost share high -risk tree removals
with Lino Lakes residents;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lino
Lakes hereby accepts the grant and authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the
grant on behalf of the City.
Approved by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 12th day of October 2004.

TOPIC: Department of Natural Resources Oak Wilt Grant
BACKGROUND: Funds to assist Communities with the control of oak wilt are
available through a Grant with the Department of Natural Resources. The
Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has approved a Grant request from
the City of Lino Lakes for oak wilt assistance for $7,000. These grant funds will
be used to assist residents with high -risk tree removals. The grant will match
50% of the residents' costs to remove high -risk trees.
Resolution No. 04 -148 authorizes the City to accept the 2004 Oak Wilt Grant
from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
