RESOLUTION NO. 04 -176
RESOLUTION APPROVING SOLICITOR'S/PEDDLERS LICENSE
WHEREAS, Mr. Greg Merritt, owner of Greg Merritt Marketing Services, has
submitted a solicitors /peddlers application to the city clerk's office; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Merritt has complied with all of the provisions of Ordinance No. 01-
89 of the Lino Lakes City Code for obtaining the necessary license for a profit business;
and;
WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Police Department has conducted a background check on
Mr. Merritt;
NOW, THEREFORE, by order of the Lino Lakes City Council, and virtue thereof, the
said business, Greg Merritt Marketing Services, is hereby authorized to solicit for a
• period of six - months, beginning November 23, 2004 and ending May 23, 2004, subject to
all conditions and provisions of said ordinance.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 22n0 day of November, 2004.

License for Greg Merritt Marketing Services.
VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority (3/5 Vote)
BACKGROUND:
Mr. Greg Merritt, owner of Greg Merritt Marketing Services, 701 — 110th Avenue, Blaine
MN, has submitted a peddler's license application. If his application is approved, Mr.
Merritt will be going door -to -door selling Precision Tune merchant discount cards to
Lino Lakes residents. Attached is a facsimile of the discount card he will be offering.
Mr. Merritt has complied with all of the provisions of the Lino Lakes City Code for
obtaining the necessary license, including the background check. The Lino Lakes Police
Department indicated that the background check came back clear and there would be no
reason to recommend denial of the license.
The application and all other required information is on file in the city clerk's office for
review.
