CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 03 - 08
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES (DNR) GRANT
FOR SNOWMOBILE EQUIPMENT AND /OR OVERTIME FUNDING PROJECTS
ENFORCEMENT
Be it resolved that the City of Lino Lakes enter into a grant
agreement with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources
(DNR) for the project entitled Snowmobile Safety Enforcement
during the winter period of 2002 -2003.
The Public Safety Director /Chief of Police is hereby authorized
to execute such agreements and amendments, as are necessary to
implement the project on behalf of the City of Lino Lakes and to
be the fiscal agent and administer the grant.
I certify that the above resolution was adopted by the City
Council of the City of Lino Lakes on January 13, 2003.
• WHEREAS, the monies will be appropriated to the General Fund in
the following manner:

Increase Police Revenue $1500.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Lino Lakes City Council
members, approve Resolution No. 03 - 08.

Consideration of Resolution # 03 Accepting grant monies from
Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Snowmobile Safety
Enforcement Grant.
VOTES REQUIRED: 3/5 vote
'BACKGROUND I I
The Lino Lakes Police Department has been selected to
receive grant funds in the amount of $1,500.00 designated
for overtime projects and /or equipment supporting
enforcement of snowmobile rules and regulations. We are
asking the City Council to accept this grant on behalf of
the City of Lino Lakes and the Lino Lakes Police Department.

purchase the needed snowmobile equipment and /or
overtime salaries for snowmobile enforcement.
2. Return the Resolution to staff for further information.
