CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 03-66
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS — TWILIGHT ACRES/TWILIGHT ACRES 2ND ADDITION
WATERMAIN EXTENSION.
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolutions of the Council adopted August 14, 2001, a sanitary
sewer improvement project was authorized in the Twilight Acres/Twilight Acres 2nd
Addition and installation has been completed,
WHEREAS, a petition was received by the residents in the area for extension of the
watermain on Vicky Lane and on the North half of Nancy Drive,
WHEREAS, the City proposes to fund all of the cost of the improvement, to be
recovered through connection charges upon resident connection requests.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA:
1. The City Engineer is designated as the engineer for this improvement and he is
directed to prepare plans and specifications for the Twilight Acres/Twilight Acres 2nd
Addition Watermain Extension
Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 12th day of May, 2003.

TOPIC: Resolution No. 03 -66, Authorizing Preparation of Plans and
Specifications for Twilight Acres/Twilight Acres 2nd Addition
Watermain Extension.
VOTE REQUIRED: Simple majority to authorize plans and specifications
BACKGROUND:
The Sanitary Sewer installation in the Twilight Acres/Twilight Acres 2nd Addition
has been completed. A petition was received by the residents in the area for
extension of the watermain on Vicky Lane and on the North half of Nancy Drive.
A resident meeting was held on May 1, 2003 at which the residents were in
support of a project to install watermain on Vicky Lane from Lake Drive west to
Nancy Drive and north to Main Street.
It is staffs recommendation to authorize the preparation of plans and
specifications for the watermain extension, which will also provide necessary
looping of the water system.
The City will fund this project and all costs will be recovered through connection
charges upon resident connection requests.
OPTIONS:
1. Adopt Resolution 03 -66, Authorizing the Preparation of Plans and
Specifications for the watermain extension.
2. Return to staff for further review.
RECOMMENDATION:
Option No. 1 - Staff recommends that Resolution No. 03 -66 be adopted.
