Mr. Locher had dismissed the case against Mr. Jim Manning with the
understanding that the building msut meet state conde in construction
and City codes for use. The plans are in the office for Mr. Mobley's
inspectich.
Mr. Zelinka moved to approve this City's participation in the Shade
Tree program for 1979. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared
passed.
Mr. Zelinka moved to approve requisitions #881 through and including
#886. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed.
Mr. Zelinka moved to approve Checks #9322 through and including #9337,
Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed.
Mr. Zelinka moved to adjourn at 10 :45 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz.

December 28, 1978
The special meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order
at 7 :00 P.M. on December 28, 1978. Council members present; Kulaszewicz,
McLean, Schneider. Absent; Zelinka.
This meeting has been called for the purpose of replacing or re- appoint-
ing members of the various boards whose terms expire December 31, 1978.
The Planning and Zoning Board was considered firts. Mr. James Hill and
Mr. William Bohjanen are the members whose terms expire. Several
residents of the City had called and asked for consideration as a
member of this Board. After discussion and consideration of all persons,
Mr. McLean moved to appoint Mr. Larry Johnson and Mr. Jerry Heath as
members of the Palnning and Zoning Board for three year terms, subject
to acceptance. Seconded by Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passed.
The matter of the Personnel Commission was considered next. One member
had resinged prior to the end of the year and two other member's terms
expire. There were several persons for consideration as members of
this Commission. Mr. McLean moved to appoint Mr. Jim Arntzen, Mr.
Greg Kliner, and Mrs. Susan DeNuccio to serve on this Commission, subject
to acceptance. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed.
The matter of the Park, Recreation and Enviornmental Commission was con-
sidered next. After quite a lot of discussion, Mr. Kulaszewicz moved
to appoint the following persons to serve on this Commission. Mr.
Larry Crouse, Mr. Charles Cheesebrough and Mr. Milt Jorgernson, subject
to acceptance. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion decalred passed.
The Clerk was instructed to send 'Thank You' letters to all retiring

members of all Boards.

January 8, 1979
The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order
at 8:00 P.M. on January 8, 1979 by Mayor Karth. Council members present
Kulaszewica, McLean,Schneider, Zelinka. Absent; None. Mr. Locher was
also present.
Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the minutes of November 27, 1978 as pre-
sented. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion declared passed with Mr. Zelinka
abstaining.
Mr. Zelinka moved to approve the minutes of December 11, 1978 as presented.
Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion declared passed.
Mr. McLean moved to approve the minutes of December 14, 1978 as presented.
Seconded by Mr. Scneider. Motion declared passed.
Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the minutes of December 26, 1978 as
corrected. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion declared passed.
Mr. McLean moved to approve the minutes of December 28, 1978 as corrected.
Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed.
The Clerk presented the following items for Council consideration:
..A letter from Mr. and Mrs. Alfio Santo of 1573 LaMotte Drive was read.
This letter asked for an extension to the time schedule for connection to
the sewer. The residents had encountered problems with contractors last
Fall and informed the Council they plan to hook up in April of 1979. Mr.
Zelinka moved to grant Mr. and Mrs. Santo until the end of April to complete
their connerction. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion declared passed.
..A "Thank You" card from the Lioness Club for the use of the Hall for their
Christmas Party was read.
..A formal petition withdrawing the petition for consilidation between
the Cities of Centerville and Lino Lakes had been delivered to the City
Hall. Also, notice of the cancellation of the scheduled meeting on January
10, 1979 had been received and is posted.
..The December report from the Lexington Fire Department had been received
and is on file in the office.
The Clerk reported that she had contacted Mr. Odde and Mr. Berg at the
Metropolitan Waste Control Commission and after some discussion, the sewer
service charges had been adjusted downward from $569.89 to $325.49. Mr.
McLean moved the Clerk write to the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission
and get a written statement with the new billing figures. Seconded by
Mr. Schneider. Motion declared passed.
Mayor Karth presented Mr. Kenneth Brown of East Rondeau Lake Road who
needs permission to enlarge his pig operation. He wants to construct a
