1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MINUTES MARCH 11, 1991 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to <br />order by Mayor Bisel at 6:30 P.M., Monday, March 11, 1991. <br />Council Members present: Neal, Kuether, Bisel, Reinert, <br />Bohjanen. Council Members absent: none. City Attorney, Bill <br />Hawkins; Engineer's, Darrell Schneider and Dan Boxrud; Planner, <br />John Miller; Public Works Director, Don Volk; Chief of Police, <br />Dean Campbell; Administrator, Randy Schumacher and Clerk - <br />Treasurer Marilyn Anderson were also present. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Council Member Reinert moved to approve the Consent Agenda as <br />presented. Council Member Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />DISBURSEMENTS: <br />REGULAR AGENDA <br />ITEM DISPOSITION <br />February 28, 1991 Approved <br />March 11, 1991 Approved <br />Centennial Fire Dept. Approved <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Regular Council Meeting, February 25, 1991 - Council Member <br />Kuether moved to approve these minutes as presented. Council <br />Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried with Council <br />member Bohjanen abstaining. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />Darla Lowell, 66th Street Improvement - Ms. Lowell explained that <br />the Council will be considering at the next Council meeting <br />whether or not to approve the 66th Street improvement. She also <br />explained that about a month ago she appeared before the Design <br />Review Board (DRB) and asked for either a variance to the present <br />street design code or a change in the code itself. She was <br />denied both requests and is now asking that the Council review <br />this matter again. Ms. Lowell explained that 24th Avenue <br />(Elmcrest Avenue) is proposed to be improved at lesser standards <br />than currently required by City Code. She also noted that <br />previously Reiling Road was installed at a lesser standard <br />because according to the feasibility report there were not enough <br />residents to financially support the improvement. However, when <br />dealing with her situation, there is no suggestion or move by <br />anyone to consider lesser standards for 66th Street. Ms. Lowell <br />also noted that DRB Chair Chase suggested that maybe this street <br />PAGE 1 <br />003 <br />
