106
CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION 22 APRIL 91
Mayor Bisel called a work session of the Lino Lakes City
Council to order at 5 :30 P.M. on Monday 22 April 1991.
Council Members present: Neal, Kuether, Reinert, Bohjanen.
City Administrator Schumacher, Assistant to the City
Administrator Tesch, Fire Chief Bennett and Gene Nelson and
Ellen Luken of Winsor Faricy were also present.
The purpose of this meeting was to review the site and
building plan for the new fire station, as well as to approve
the exterior building materials for the station.
Ms. Luken presented to the council samples of the bricks
(lighter and darker shades of red /brown) and tiles that would
be used in the construction of the facility. Ms. Luken went
on to explain that the two brick colors would alternate and
accent one another as they wrapped around the building.
Council member Neal had questions as to the landscaping that
Ms. Luken was able to clear up.
Council member Kuether inquired as to the number of parking
spaces. Ms. Luken responded that there would be from 45 to
50. Ms. Luken and Chief Bennett explained to the Council
that the County was unable to grant their request for a wider
drive way, so the drive way will remain at 32 feet.
The building is estimated to cost under $796,000.00 and will
be ready for use in the winter of 1992. Depending on the
bids, construction could begin as early as June.
The work session was adjourned at 6:20 P.M.
Page 1
1
1
