CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 01 -50
RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING PUBLIC HEARING — TWILIGHT
ACRES SANITARY SEWER EXTENSION.
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolutions of the Council adopted January 22, 2001 a report
has been prepared by the City Engineer, with reference to the improvement of Twilight
Acres by constructing sanitary sewer extensions, and this report was received by the
council on March 26, 2001, and,
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is
necessary, cost - effective, and feasible,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such sanitary sewer in accordance
with the report and the assessment of abutting property for a portion of the cost of
the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 and the Lino Lakes
City Charter.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such improvement on the 14th day of May, 2001, in
the council chambers of the city hall at 6:30 p.m. and the clerk shall give mailed and
published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.
Adopted by the City Council this 26th day of March, 2001.

COUNCIL MEETING DATE: March 26, 2001
TOPIC: Resolution No. 01 -50, Receive Feasibility Study and Call Hearing
on Improvement - Twilight Acres Sanitary Sewer Extension.
VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 Vote Required
BACKGROUND:
At the January 22, 2001, City Council meeting, a study was ordered to evaluate
the extension of sanitary sewer to the Twilight Acres 1st Addition and Twilight
Acres 2nd Addition and the associated costs. The report is being prepared and
will be delivered to the City Council at the meeting Monday evening. Staff is
requesting that Council receive the report and call a hearing on the improvement.
The hearing is scheduled for May 14, 2001, at which time a detailed review of
the feasibility report will be presented.
In accordance with Minnesota State Statutes 429, and the Lino Lakes Charter
the feasibility report is to be received by council and a public hearing scheduled.
OPTIONS:
1. Return to staff for further review.
2. Adopt Resolution No. 01 -50, Receive the Feasibility Study and Call Hearing
for the Twilight Acres Sanitary Sewer Extension.
RECOMMENDATION:
Option No. 2 - Staff recommends that Resolution No. 01 -50 be adopted.
