HomeMy WebLinkAbout07/08/1963 Council Minutes24 Meeting of the Council of Lino Lakes on July 8, 1963 Members present as follows: Mayor Telling; Trustee's Speiser, Heckenliable, and Clerk Hauer. Trustee Backlin absent. Minutes of the preceding meeting were read and on mouton by Speiser, and seconded by Heckenliable, were accepted as read. All voted in favor. A continuation of the tax hearing was held and since there were no tax protests, a motion was made by Speiser, and second by Heckenliable to close the meeting. The motion was carried. Tillage Engineer, reported on the street improvement bids for Twilight Acres and re- commended that the low bid of LaTalle Excavating be accepted. Motion by Telling, second by Speiser, to Table bids until a later date. A11 voted in favor. 1 Mr. Heckenliable, reported that the next meeting of the Planning Board would be held on July 17, 1963. Mr. Sieiser, reported that the weed spraying was completed and that the work in the park is also completed. He also stated that the grass was planted and growing good. Motion by Telling, second by Heckenliable, that Howard Speiser, be granted permission to buy 10 gallons of paint for Park Buildings. All noted in favor. Motion by Telling, second by Heckenliable, that present uniforms were okay. All voted in favor. Emily Rehbein, treasurer, reported that she received a check from Secretary of State for $614.81, for Lino Lakes share of mobile homes tax. Also a draw of $15,836.90 from Auditors Office. The Tillage funds were reported as follows: Balance on hand July 1, 1963 $4,908.90 General Fund 963.87 Civil Defense 918.38 Debt Redemption 3,542.03 Gopher Fund 399.85 Parks and Playgrounds 2,079.03 Fire 193.59 Road and Bridge - 3,187.85 Motion by Telling, second. by Speiser, that the council give the Clerk and Attorney per- mission to pay off Bonds #1. All voted in fawn-. Motion by Heckenliable, second by Telling, Council authorize the Tillage Treasurer, to invest monies set aside for redemption of the first bond issue for street isprovement. All voted in favor. John Juleen, reported on the meeting of District #2 Planning Board. Robert Raymond, Constable, reported on the new Tillage Police ca.r. Motion by Heckenliabble, second by Speiser, that Robert Raymond be authorized to purchase a new set of tires for the patrol car. All voted in favor. Motion by Telling, second by Hekcenliable, the Tillage Engineer draw up specs and advertize for bids, for seal coating in Lakeveiw Addtition. All voted iii favor. Motion by Telling, second by Speiser, that Tillage Engineer attend meeting in Shoreview on sewers. All voted in favor. Motion by Heckenliable, second by Speiser, to adjourn meeting. All voted in favor. Clerk Minutes approved July 22, 19$3 Meeting of the Council of Lino Lakes on July 23, 1963 Members present as follows; Mayor Telling; Trustee's Backlin, Heckenliable, Speiser, and Clerk Hauer. The minutes of the preceding meetin were read and on motion by Backli4, second. by Speiser, they be acceppted as read. All voted in favor. On motion by Telling, second by Heckenliable, the Rezoning and Special Use Permit of Mr. Henrikson, was referred to the Planning Board. Motion was carried. Motion by Telling, second by Heckenliable, the On Sale Beer license be acceppted from St. Joseph's Church, pro —rated at 5/6 of one year rate. Carried. Bingo permit for the church was truned down, because the request wasn't received within the required 30 day period. The Clerk was instructed to writes a letter to the Priest to this effect. III Motion by Telling, Plane Base on Rice Motion by Backlin, and Weed Inspector Motion by Backlin, on the cleaning of second by Speiser, a request for a Special Use Permit for a Sea. Lake, was referred to the Planning Board. All voted in favor. second by Telling, a notice of the cuttin; of the weeds was published should check on the lots to be cut. All voted in favor. second by Heckenliable, the Attorney should write a certified letter ditch and installing a culvert on Ware Road. All voted in favor.
