HomeMy WebLinkAbout09/28/1964 Council Minutes68 Meeting of the Council of Lino Lakes obi September 28, 1964 Members present as follows: Mayor Domffiing; Trustee's Backlin, Speiser, Heckenliable, and Clerk Hauer. Minutes of the preceding were read and on a motion by Backlin, second by Speiser, the III were accepted as read. Carried. Mr. Backlin asked the attorney shout the Rehbein Road rightway, and about the throughfare maps and was told they would be ready at the next Planning Meeting. Also the need of more snow fences. Motion by Backlin, second by Speiser, to have the attoreny check on and make the Rehbbin Road a 661 rightway. Carried. Motion by Backlin, second by Domning, to buy enough snow fence to replace the old. Carried. Mr. Speiser, reports that the swing sets are installed at the Parks and were purchased' by the Park Board. He asked that the pu*p be installed at the Rink. And asked about a Stop sign at Ware Road and the County Line. He also stated the Bingo started the 15th of Octoker at 8 :00 OM to 10:00 PM. Motion by Speiser, second by Heckenliable, to accept the swing sets from the Park Board. Carried. Mr. Heckenliable, reported on the Planning Board Meeting. Also that Floyd Miller resigned from the Planning Board. Motion by Domning, second by Heckenliable, that Irving Anderson, is to replace Floyd Miller on the Planning Board. Carried. Mr. Henridkson, applied for a Special Use Permit, for a Trailer Court. Attended District #2 Meeting. Motion by Downing, second by Heckenliable, to have another Budget Meeting. Carried. Motion by Domning, second by Speiser, fo have two part time constables as police officers also. Carried. A diseussion of the municipal court system was held by Mr. Locher. Motion by Speiser, second by Domning, to put Plan A on the ballot for the omming election. Carried. Motion by Backlin, second by Speiser, to make a resolution to raise the salary of the Council in an Ordinance #40, subject to the voters approval. Heckenliable No, Carried. Mr. gelling, attended 3 meeting's of the Spic and Span Committee, and discussed the various meeting's. Carried. Motion by Backlin, second by Heckenliable, to adjourn meeting. Carried. Minutes of the preceding meeting were read and on a motion by Hedkenliable, and a second by Backlin, they were accepted as read. Carried. Mrs. Loyola. Thiligen, asked about some Pillage eeuipment, some questions about the Pillage, also about the check for District #2. A Meeting wPS planned for District #2 with the 9 members participating. Mr. Backlin, reports that they are waiting for Northrn States Power to move poles then they will proceed with the road work. Road West of Peltier Lake will have to be fixed. Also are trying to move Road to be Straight and leave the present road for public acess to the lake. He checked on Aqua Lane where Telephone Co. damaged the road and asked the Attorney what could be done. Motion by Backlin, second by Speiser, for the Engineer to stake the road for gradding. Carried. Motion by Backlin, second by Domning, to have the Clrk write a letter to the Telephone Co. about restoring road to proper condition. Carried. Mr. Hoffman, wants a street light on his property, but will have to install it himself. Chedk on the light bill from the Catholic Church. Mr. Speiser, askd about the pipe for the well. He reported thet John Juleen, has painted all the barrels for the parks. He stated that Bingo will be held on Thursday night, also that they have the heater going at the park. Mr. Heckenliable, asked about rezonning. Planning has a recommendation from Lawrence and Tagg, for and Apartment Building. Motion by Heckenliable, second by Downing, to set a hearing for a Special Use Permit for an Apartment Building on Monday October 26, 1964, and 7 :30 PM. Carried. Motion by Damning, second by Speiser, to accept bhe proposed budget for 1965. Carried. Mr. Locher, explained the Municipal Court System and will know more about this at the next meeting.
