Mrs. Ross, Lino Store, asked about having a sign put up on the intersec-
tion of Highway 8 and Main Street, indicating directions and mileages to
Anoka, Centerville, Forest Lake etc.
Mr. Gottwald reported on his meeting with Mr. Sullivan, the Circle Pines
Engineer, on the oversizing of the sewer lines being laid. Following
discussion of the matter, Mr. Backlin moved, and Mr. Speiser seconded,
that the engineer continue with the study on this matter. On the vote,
Anderson no, Speiser, yes, Backlin yes, Zelinka yes, Domning yes.
A request by Kenneth Bryant for the Civil Defense to buy Caps was approved.
Mr. Domning moved, Mr. Anderson seconded, a resolution that we allow the
County to be our agent in the Disaster Relief Program. Motion carried.
Anderson moved, Speiser seconded that the following bills be paid:

Lino Lakes Council Meeting of June 14 was called to order at 8 :15 p.m.
All members present.
Minutes were presented, correction made on description of property
discussed with Mr. Burque from Centerville. Speiser moved, Anderson
seconded, that minutes be accepted as read and corrected. Motion carried.
Zelinka reported the books for 1964 had been turned over to the Auditor,
and the ordinance book was up to date and ready for printing.
Backlin informed Mr. Hammer of Oak Lane that a culvert would be put in
and his driveway repaired in the next week.
Domning reported that he and Mr. Backlin attended a meeting the previous III
week with Anoka and Washington County Engineers, and Mr. McCubrey of
the Minnesota Highway Dept, concerning a by -pass on Main Street. Final
conclusion of this meeting. appeared to be that if the weather held good
the State would be able to complete a bridge at the proposed crossing of
County Road 14 and 35E and a temporary crossing connected to provide a
by -pass.

Mr. and Mrs. Mishaud and Mr. Kelling were present to discuss the high
water situation on Aqua Lane. Mr. & Mrs. Mishaud told of their flight
over the village and their observations, including several floodgates
which were closed, or partially closed. The Anoka County Ditch system
was discussed, and Mr. Domning gave considerable background information
on the topography of the areas surrounding Lino Lakes and how it affects
drainage into this village.
Mr. Mathews entered a complaint and asked the Council's help in the
sale of his property to the Anoka Power Company (a strip 900 ft. x 70 ft).
The original assessment had been made at $10,000, now because the prop-
erty had water standing on it, the Power Company was offering $1,000.
Mr. Walter Stucke, 6220 Baldwin Lake Road, entered a complaint that the
man owning the adjoining land was selling lots, and had run in a road
which was located only 6 feet from Mr. Stuck's bedroom. After consid-
erable discussion on this problem, Mrs. Dupre was asked to inform
Mr. Dupre, the Building Inspector, to get a description of the area
involved so the Engineer and the Council can review this complaint.
As a result of the above discussion, Mr. Anderson motioned, Zelinka
seconded, that the attorney draw up an ordinance to have the Zoning
Committee and the Council approve of any platting of 22 acres or more.
Motion carried.
Mr. Bacon of the Bacon Equipment Company was introduced and described
the radar unit he was selling for use on police cars. The price of the
unit is $325.00 and Mr. Bacon agreed to let Officers Raymond and West
use the unit until the next Council meeting, on a test basis.
Mrs. Faymoville was present and asked for rezoning on a piece of prop-
erty to be sold to an oil company. The hearing was set for July 12,
and the usual procedure of posting and publication will take place.
This was handled by a motion from Anderson and second from Speiser.
Motion carried unanimously.
Speiser reported that the grass needed mowing in both parks, and he
felt we should seriously consider resurfacing and other park needs
immediately.
Anderson reported that the Planning Commission meeting on June 2nd was
a study on section maps and possible roads to handle future development
in the village. The Planning Commission approved various portions of
Sections 19, 15, 16 and 17 subject to hearing, and approval of the
Council. Anderson also moved, with second by Domning, that maps be
revised showing the cloverleaf on Highway 8 and the existing roads
and buildings.
A check was received from Mr. Rosengren for $25.00 for the snowplow
purchased.
Mr. Backlin moved, second by Speiser, that our Engineer contact the
County Engineer to see what can be done about county ditches. Carried.

Domning moved, Speiser seconded that we pay the comprehensive commer-
cial insurance policy as received in the amount of $308.59. However,
Mr. Locher will look into consolidating as many items as possible on
one policy and will report at the next meeting.
Domning moved we allow the Civil Defense a license to sell beer at the
Auction on June 20. Second by Speiser, carried.
Domning moved we approve the application of Gil's Place for on and off
sale license for the coming year. Second by Speiser. Carried.
Anderson moved we approve the applications of Rosengren and LeVesseur
for liquor and on /off sale licenses for the coming year. Second by
Speiser. Carried.
Clerk was instructed to write to Mr. Hauer informing him the balance of
$250.00 was due immediately for the year 64/65 on his liquor license.
