The Lino Lakes council meeting of January 9, 1967 was called to
order at 8;00 P.M. by Mayor Domning. ,viembers present were; Rosen-
gren, Ross, L'Allier ca',c1 Bohjane. No clerk was present.
Mayor Domning moved that Sally M.chaild be sworn as temporary
clerk until Feb. 7, 1967. Second by Bohjanen. Carfied. Oath
was administered by Mr. Locher.
The oath of Office was then given by Locher to the new
Councilmen Bohjanen, L'Allier and Rosengren.
The MInutes of the previous meeting were read, accepted as correct
by all.
Minutes of the special meeting of Dec. 31, 1966 were read. Mayor
Domning motioned to approve hiring Roy Backlin as road supervisor at
A00.00 per month. Second by LIflier. Carried.
Appointments to offices,as follows, were made by the mayor(unless
otherwise indicated);
Acting Mayor; Ross. Second by Rosengren. Carried.
Civil Defence Director; Ken Bryant will remain pending further dis-
cussion.
T'eed Inspector; Ed Houle. Second by Ross. Carried,
Depository; Centennial Bank. Second by L'Allier. Carried.
Attornies; Babcock & Locher. Second by Ross. Carried.
Auditor; Tialdemar Hill. Secon4by Bohjanen. Carried.
Engineers; Milner-Carley, Geo Gotwald as representative. Second
by Ross. Carried.
Official Paper; Blaine Life. Motion by L'Allier, Second by Bohjanen,
"Aye", Donning. "Nays", Ross and Rosengren. Carried.
Dog Catcher; Bruce Fleming. Motion by Ross. Second by Bohjanen.
Carried.
Health Offices; Dr. 14idboe of Forest hake. Second L'Allier. Carried
Backlin was to call on Columbus for road work as in the past. Second
by L'Allier. Carried.
Salaries were discussed. Ross asked fro a special meeting to be held
on Jan. 16 at 7:00 P.M. to discuss wages. Second by Bohjanen, Carried.
Planning and Zoning Board was approved by resolution to consist of
the following members;
H.D. Heckenlaible 1 year
Arnold Kelling 1 year
Glen Rehbein 2 years
Ken Bryant 2 years
Chick Jester 2 years
Duane Klepel 3 years
Andrew Cardinal 3 years.
Second by L'Allier. Carried.
Motion by Ross that Mrs. Sarner be assessor at a salary of ,1,500.00
per year. Second by Rosengren. Carried.
Permanent Clerk- Treasurer; pending further discussion and applica-
tions. Pirs. Zelinka will train a new clerk.
The regular business commenced with the councilmen's reports.
Al Ross; Nothing to report. No P&Z meetings were held.
Roy Backlin; All roads passable and being widened. Drifting
occurring.

Ralph L'Allier; On Jan. 1, 1967, Mr. & Ms. signed a
6 month agreement to negotiate purchase of
32.58 acres at 500.00 per acre.
Hank Hosengren,..being new on the council, was asked to be laison
for Mr. Backlin
Bill Bohjane ; received solo appointment hr the faor to set up
a pre- Cahmber of Commerce type of commission to
promote the Village.
L'Allier requested volunteers to work with the Park AssociatLon.
Mr. Locher read a form to be ad( ed to he building permits to re-
lieve tha Village from drainage and building problems. 200 copies
are to be made, one of which is on file.
Motion by Domning to add this form to the nemite. Second hr
Bohjanen. Carried.
Locher reported on tentative planefor a Co. ntv Municinal Court. A
copy of this plan '-1.11 be sent to the councilmen by Locher. He had
nothing to report on the Rice Creek 'atershed.
Mr. Gotwald was asked to set a meeting date wit Centerville to
inform them of our plans for sewers.
Mr. Harold Goertz, Fire Chief of Lexngton, was asked to he pre-
sent at the special meeting on Jan. 15, to discuss costs and area
coverage of fire protection.
Ruth Rector asked from the floor, why a clerk hadn't been trained
as called for under plan "A". She also requested that •,he Civil
Defense director approval be made by the Civil Defense members.
The bills were examined. Move to pay bills by Boljjanen. Second
by Ross. Carried.

Applications for cigarette licenses are being taken bY the temporary
clerk.
Rosengren motioned for three truck plow blades to be purchased. Sed-
nnd by Domning. Carried.
Mayor Domning said the council may pass an ordinance reFarding snow-
mobiles unless the owners-drivers respect private property rights.
Ross moved to adjotrn at 9:30. Second by Rosengren. Carried.
1967 -Clerk
The special meeting of the Village of Lino L Aes was called to order
on Jan. 17, 1967 at 8:20 P.L. by :AYor Domning. Trustees Present;
Rosengren, Ross, L'Allier and Bohjanen. Temp. Clerk Sally michaud,
present.
The first order of business was discussion of fire protect'on costs
and contracts with the Village of Lexington. After the arrival of
Mr. Harold Goertz, who explained the arei to be protected and the costs
system, the following motion was made by Al Ross; That the Village
of Lino Lak, s enter into a contract with the Village of Lexington
for fire protection at a cost of :1>2,000.00 per year for two years.
Second by Bohjanan. Carried.
An Employee Review Committee was appointed to revie apolicat ons
for village employmert. Each Councilman name( one man to serve on
the board as follows;

Eugene Broker by Hosengren
Applications f,)r a part time peace officer, to be employed at an hourlY
rate not to exceed j60.00 per month, will be tahen by the councilmen.
A motion for wages as follows was made by Hosengren:

Machine operators, drivers. foremen- ::;2.35 per hour
Snow plow operators, both men- ,2-35 per hour
Road Supervisor- .A00.00 p r month; regular rates perhour for driting.
