Rosengren motioned for three truck plow blades to be purchased. Sed- ond by Domning. Carried. Mayor Domning said the council may pass an ordinance regarding snow- mobiles unless the owners-drivers respect private property rights. Ross moved to adjourn at 9:30. Second by Rosengren. Carried. D oved 2/4169/nicg--- The special meeting of the Village of Lino L ices was called to order on Jan. 17, 1967 at 8:20 P.M. by JaYor Domning. Trustees present; Hosengren, Ross, L'Allier and Bohjanen. Temn. Clerk Sally ',Iichaud, present. The first order of business was discussion of fire protection costs and contracts with the Village of Lexington. After the arrival of Mr. Harold Goertz, who explained the are. be protected and the costs system, the following motion was made by Al Ross; That the Village of Lino Lak s enter into a contract with the Village of Lexington for fire protection at a cost of 2,000.00 per year for two years. Second by Bohjanen. Carried. An Employee Review Committee was appointed to revie- applicat ons for vi IaTe employmert. Each L;ouncilman name one man to serve on the board as follows; Peter Scherer by Damning Arnold Kellimg by Ross Den is liotle by L'Allier Ron Jaworski by ,x)hjanen Eugene broker by osengren Applications for a part time peace officer, to be employed at an hourly rate not to exceed 50.00 per month, will be taken by the councilmen. A motion for wages as follows was made by Hosengren: Laborers- ,2.00 per ho r Machine operators, drivers, foremen- 2.35 per hour Snow plow operators, both men- ,,2.35 per hour Road Supervisor- 100.00 p r month; regular rates nerhour for dritling. IIIMayor Domning made a motion that our Present constables recthive a raise of .350.00 per month each. Second by L'Alli_cr. Carri. d. The regular business meeting of the Village of Lino Lakes of Jan. 23, 1967, was called to order at 8:00 PM by Mayor Downing. All councilmen ad clerk present. -. _ The minutes of the last business meeting were read and corrected. Domning motioned to accept the minutes as corrected. Second by Bohjanen. Carried. The minutes of the special meeting of Ja. 17, 1967 were read and approved. Ross motioned to approve these minutes as read. Second by Domning. Carried. Mr. Waldemar Hill reported on the audit, saying he would make copies of the financial report for the councilmen. Cash balace, start of 1966 $23,486.04 Receipts for 1966 67,663.02 Disbursements for 1966 77,874.76 End B&ance for year $13,374.30 Mr. Hill recommended a transfer of funds to Road ad Bridges, or combining all revenue funds into one, to avoid rehadling of monies. The assessed valuation of Lino Lakes if $886,996.00. The mill rite IIIfor 1967 taxes went down to 49.64 mills. The debt redemption started with a balance of $4,764 and ended with a balance of $ 5,361.00. Mr. Robert Martin of the Springsted Bond Consultants was introduced by Mayor Domning. He reqested that we approve Springsted as Village Consultats, after a promotional explanation of his companie's service. Mayor Domning stated we should study our present system before caking any move to acquire a professional bond company.
