Gn'®`'i'. Aa47(--' Clerk. Regular meeting of the Village of Lino Lakes was called to order at 0:10 PM June 12, 1967, with all members present. Minutes of special meeting May 15th of the Village of Lino Lakes were read and motion to accept minutes as corrected was made by Mr. L'Allier and seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Motion passed unanimously. Minutes of regular meeting May 22nd of the Village of Lino Lakes were read and motion IIIwas made by Mr. L'Allier to accept the minutes as corrected. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried unanimously. A set -up license application for the Silvertop Barn was presented. Mr. Cardinal made a motion that Lino Lakes approves the license. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried unanimously. Off -sale liquor license applications from Club Oasis and Ruth Celga were read. Motion was made by Mr. Rosengren to approve both of the licenses with the stipulation that Mrs. Celga brings her bond up to $3,000.00. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Locher read the liquor ordinance amendment dealing with split - payment of annual fee numbered 31 -A. Mr. L'Allier made a motion to adopt the amendment as read by Mr. Locher. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Motion carried unanimously. Applications for On -Sale Liquor licenses for the Apple Inn, Club Oasis, and the 49 Club were read. Motion was made by Mr. L'Allier that Lino Lakes approves the applications with the stipulation that Mr. Landol Locher checks each application for proper fee and for their correctness. Seconded by M(r. Rosengren. Motion passed unanimously. Mr. L'Allier stated that the Skyline League will hold a tournament in Lino Lakes and requested a special beer license. Mr. L'Allier made a motion that Lino Lakes approves the special beer license and the Clerk directs a letter to them stating that amount of insurance needed to cover before the permit can officially be issued. Seconded by Mr. IIICardinal. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. L'Allier stated he would give the Clerk the address. Mr. L'Allier stated the Park Board Association, Inc. was in the process of having sign for Sunset Park put up. Mr. Rosengren stated they will have trees planted in the parks. 2-22 Mr. L'Allier stated the sign material was donated by Elsworth Rehbein and the Miller Bros. Mr. L'Allier made a motion that thank you letters be sent to the Park Board Association, Inc., Elwworth Rehbein & Son, Dennis Mauseth, Miller Bros., the VFW and the CD. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Locher informed the Council of the square dance organization's plans to use our parks system for camping during their convention. He stated possible instances where a bond is necessary as provided by ordinance of Lino Lakes. Mr. L'Allier made a motion that the Village of Lino Lakes require from this organization a $10,000.00 bond for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday affair. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. L'Allier stated that they would like to have a bonfire in the evenings. Mr. L'Allier made a motion that they be permitted to have a bonfire in the park, and that they secure a permit from the fire marshal and follow his recommendation. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried. Mr. Bohjanen stated the C&BDC has selected a queen to represent the Lino Lakes business- men. Her name is Laurel Miller. He further stated that Mr. Joseph Huber will donate some signs for the car and he will also check on some entrance signs for the Village. Mr. Bohjanen reported that he attended a Forest Lake School Board meeting and the Board stated that they would be putting up the land on Hwys 8 and 24 for sale. Mr. Rosengren reported that MI-. Lundheim stated the County will build a service road on west side of Freeway between County Rd 14 and Main and that the property owners will donate the property. Mr. Rosengren reported that they will do more ditching on Linda. Mr. Rosengren stated that the Freeway contractor has a special man who will have the blowing sand cleaned up in the yards along the Freeway to the satisfaction of the owners. Mr. Cardinal stated that he has received a complaint that an accident was caused near Hwy 326 possibly due to the fast speed over the bridge on Hwy 8 and the absence of No Passing signs in that area. Mr. Cardinal made a motion that the Clerk write a letter to the State of Minnesota that on Hwy 8 going north to the bridge before Hwy 326 No Pass- ing signs be erected on south side of bridge. Seconded by Mr. L'Allier. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Locher stated the provision for Sunday Liquor. Mr. L'Allier made a motion that PO check on Sunday Liquor at their next meeting. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Locher stated if possible Lino Lakes should hold off until their November elections and this would keep the cost to the Village down. Mr. Locher read a letter to the Village of Lino Lakes enclosing the Comprehensive Commer- cial Policy with the premium of $725.90. Mr. Locher also read an exclusion to the policy and recommended the Clerk be given permission to sign this exclusion. Motion made by Mr. Bohjanen that the Clerk be instructed to sign the exclusion to the policy as defined by Mr. Locher. Seconded by M. Cardinal. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Locher stated he talked to Dr. Bulinski about land he owns on Hwy 49 and Dr. Bulinski said he has tried to keep people out but was unsuccessful. He stated that the 106 acres were for sale. Mr. Ross stated he talked to Dr. Geltman at the Treatment Center and was informed that the State authorized 18 positions at the Treatment Center; however, Dr. Geltman did not now what positions they were. Mr. Ross stated that for the month of May the Police traveled 1609 miles. Also Ur. Ratnond and Mr. West each had 77 hours and Mr. Myhre had 59 1/2 hours. They 01$0 covered 6 medical emergencies and accidents. 223. 0.� Mr. Tom Anderson appeared before the Council. Nair. Mr. Rosengren made a motion to pay the bills as rendered. Mr. Cardinal seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. t Motion was made by Mr. Ross to adjourn at 10:20 PM. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Minutes of the June 12th meeting were read and Mr. Bohjanen made a motion to accept minutes as corrected. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried. Letter from League of Municipalities was read. Mr. L'Allier made a motion that the letter be filed. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried. A petition on fixing up Bald Eagle Blvd. was read and it was decided to hold off on this until later in the meeting. Mr. L'Allier stated they are trying out a mower in the park system. Mr. L'Allier stated he will turn this matter over to the Park Board and see if they wish to purchase same. Minutes of the Park Board were read. Mr. L'Allier made a motion that the Park Board and the Village Council meet together in the future. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried. Mr. Rosengren stated Dr. Carl Peikert of the Forest Lake Doctors' Clinic would be willing to become our health officer. Mr. Rosengren made a motion that we appoint Dr. Carl Peikert as our health officer. Seconded by Mr. L'Allier. Motion carried. Mr. Rosengren gave a report on roads in the area. Mr. Gotwald discussed the Bald Eagle Blvd. situation and stated he would prepare a cost estimate on this project. He also stated he would prepare a cost estimate on Rolling Hills Drive. Mr. Rosengren stated he has ordered street signs. Mr. Bohjanen stated Mr. Burman has gone over the county roads in our area also.
