Minutes approved Meeting of June 26, 1967.
The regular meeting of the Village of Lino Lakes was called to order with all members
present at 8:05 PM June 26, 1967.
Minutes of the June 12th meeting were read and Mr. Bohjanen made a motion to accept minutes
as corrected. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried.
Letter from League of Municipalities was read. Mr. L'Allier made a motion that the letter
be filed. Seconded by Mx. Cardinal. Motion carried.
A petition on fixing up Bald Eagle Blvd. was read and it was decided to hold off on this
until later in the meeting.
Mr. L'Allier stated they are trying out a mower in the park system. Mr. L'Allier stated
he will turn this matter over to the Park Board and see if they wish to purchase same.
Minutes of the Park Board were read. Mr. L'Allier made a motion that the Park Board and
the Village Council meet together in the future. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried.
MX. Rosengren stated Dr. Carl Peikert of the Forest Lake Doctors' Clinic would be willing
to become our health officer. Mr. Rosengren made a motion that we appoint Dr. Carl Peikert
as our health officer. Seconded by Mr. L'Allier. Motion carried.
Mr. Rosengren gave a report on roads in the area. Mr. Gotwald discussed the Bald Eagle
Blvd. situation and stated he would prepare a cost estimate on this project. He also
stated he would prepare a cost estimate on Rolling Hills Drive.
Mr. Rosengren stated he has ordered street signs.
Mr. Bohjanen stated Mr. Burman has gone over the county roads in our area also.

Mr. Bohjanen asked if there were any funds to buy entrance signs for the Village. Mr.
Bohjanen stated he would check further on signs and bring cost figures.

The East 165 feet of the 'driest 469 feet of the South 19E feet of the W 1/2
of the NE 1/? of the NE 1/4 of Section 24, 31N, R 22W, Anoka County,
Minn. Subject to County State Aid Hwy. No. 14 and subject to a road easement
over the North 27 feet of the South 60 feet thereof.,
with the stipulation that he secure the necessary engineering tests to enable the building
inspector to issue him a building permit. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried.
Mr. William Morrison of 6297 Hodgson Road appeared before the Council stating he wanted to
apply for a special use permit for a dog kennel. Mr. Bohjanen made a motion that a public
hearing be set for July 19th at the next meeting of the P&Z Board and that Mr. Locher
notify Mr. Dupre to post the notices. Seconded by Mr. L'Allier. Motion carried.
Motion made by Mr. Cardinal that Mr. Bill Blaylock be appointed liason between the Village
Council and North Central Public Service Co. Seconded by-Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried.
Douglas Gene Ramsden appeared before the Council. Mr. L'Allier made a motion that a

follows: Commencing at the northwest corner of said NE 1 /4 -NW 1/4 of Section

Mr. Blaylock gave a report on Circle Pines Utilities.
Mr. Ross reported on the new positions at the Treatment Center.
Mr. Juleen asked for a beer license for the July 3rd outing of the CD. Mr. Locher said
they must comply with ordinances. Mr. Rosengren made a motion that the CD's representative
be furnished a license if they meet the Village requirements. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen.
Motion carried.
Mr. Backlin reported on several buildings that need to be torn down. Mx. Bohjanen ndde a
motion that Mr. Dupre and Mr. Locher get together and have these buildings removed.
Seconded by Mr. L'Allier. Motion carried.
Mr. Rosengren made a motion that Mfr. Locher make up a form so that in the future local
licenses can be renewed from year to year rather than new applications be submitted each
year. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried.
The following beer applications were considered:

Motion to approve Henry Speiser off sale license made by Mr. Cardinal, seconded by Mr.
L'Allier with stipulation that he notarizes the back of application.
Motion made by Mr. Rosengren, seconded by Mr. L'Allier to approve P. R. Peter's license.
Motion made by Mr. Cardinal, secodded by Mr. Bohjanen to approve license for the Silver-
top including dancing.
Motion made by Mr. Cardinal, seconded by Mr. Bohjanen to approve license for Mr. Rosengren.
Motion made by Mr. L'Allier, seconded by Mr. Cardinal to approve application for off sale
and for dancing for Club Oasis.
Motion made by Mr. Rosengren, seconded by Rs. Bohjanen to approve a dancing for the Apple
Inn.
All motions carried.
Mr. Ross stated that lr. Dupre should be paid something more than just mileac,e for giving
out and checking house numbers. Mx. Bohjanen asked if this couldn't be turned over to the
Personnel Commission along with mileage consideration for both the Clerk-`1Seasurer and the
Deputy Clerk. Mr. Ross asked the Personnel Commission Chairman, Mr. Jaorski, t.o check
into this.
Mr. Bohjanen made a motion to purchase a typewriter stand for the Village in the amount of
$15.00 to $20.00. Seconded by Mr. L'Allier. Motion carried.
Mr. Bohjanen made a motion to pay all bills as rendered. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion
carried.
Motion to adjourn by Mr. Cardinal, seconded by Mr. L'Allier, at 11:00 PM carried.

Minutes approved meeting of July 10th, 1967.

The Special Meeting for the Tax Equalization of the Village of Lino Lakes was held June 27,
1967, at the Village Hall, called to order at 7:35 by Chairman L'Allier. Other members
present were: Mr. Bohjanen and Mr. Cardinal. Absent: Mr. Ross and Mr. Rosengren. Also
present were Village Assessor Mrs. Richard Sarner and Mr. Gale Leone, Deputy Assessor for
III Anoka County.
Persons appearing before the Review Board were Mr. Harold Hanson, Mr. Everett Pearson and
Mr. Clyde Rehbein, all of whom had complaints which were not appropo to the tax year
under consideration. All were asked to air their complaints at the County Assessor's
office at the Anoka Courthouse.
Mr. Leone attempted to answer questions on changes in the new tax law, but could not be
too specific as copies of the new law are not yet available from the Legislature.
A motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Cardinal at 8:15 PM. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen.
Carried unanimously.

A special meeting of the Lino Lakes Village Council was called to order at 4:05 PM.,
July 1, 1967, at the Village Hall, for the purpose of discussing and approving the 3.2
Beer License applications of Luther LeVesseur and Clifford Ross which had not beensin
the hands of the Clerk at the time of the Council Meeting held on June 26, 1967. Council-
men present: Mr. Ross, Mr. L'Allier and Mr. Cardinal. Absent: Mr. Bohjanen and Mr.
Rosengren.
Mayor Ross suggested that they approve the applications and give same to Mr. Locher for
his signature, if necessary (since the documents were not before the Council, it was
IIIunclear just what was still left to be done).
Mr. L'Allier made a motion to issue the license to Clifford Ross if his fee and application
had been submitted and also that the Clerk write Mr. Ross a letter asking him to get his
applications in sooner for the Council's consideration in the future. Motion seconded by
Mr. Cardinal. Carried unanimously.
