The regular meeting of he Village of Lino Lakes was called o order at 6:00 PM, September
25th with all members present. Mr. Ross introduced Rev. Peter Ramstad and Senator Tom Grieg.
Minutes of the September llth meeting were read. Motion made by Mr. Bohjanen to accept
minutes as corrected. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried.
Mr. Brennen from the State of Minnesota Highway Dept. was introduced and spoke about vari-
ous State projects going on in our Village now and of future projects.
Park Board minutes read. Motion made by Mr. L'Allier that Lino Lakes authorize the repairs
of roof to the park bldg. occupied by Mrs. Billik for A150.00 also for painting of park
bldgs. at $2.50 per hour. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Motion carried.
Mr. L'Allier made a motion that upon information supplied by Village Engineer that if the
budget will stand it that Lino Lakes puts on ls-, seal coat on Bald Eagle Blvd. at approx-
IIIimately $1,550. and hold off on Rolling Hills lDr. until next spring when we put on second
coat on Bald Eagle Blvd. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried.
Mr. L'Allier made a motion that the Council at their convenience look at the bldgs to be
removed on Rolling Hills Dr. Mayor Ross stated, hearing no objections, so ordered.
Mr. L'Allier made a motion that speed signs be placed on 4th St., also Pine, that read
30 MPH. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried.
Mr. L'Allier made a motion that Mr. Rosengren contact the department plowing Bald
Eagle Blvd. to get a cost estimate for snow plowing of both Bald Eagle Blvd. and Rolling
Hills Dr. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried.
Mr. L'Allier made a motion that the Village Council holds a meeting with Dr. GeItmann
of the Youth Center, the head of the welfare section, their supervisor from St. Paul,
our County Commissioner, Rep. Johnston, Senator Grieg, Sheriff Talbot and Senator Gary
Flakne, meeting to be held on Oct. 3rd and if that date is not agreeable the Clerk
should set up a date. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried.
Mr. L'Allier made a motion to have signs erected on Hwy 49 near the bridge which state
"No trap shooting" and other signs removed. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried.
A second polling place was discussed. Mr. L'Allier stated that the Fire Dept. from
Village of Lexington would meet with the Centerville Chief at Lexington next Thursday
to get better coverage for Lino Lakes.
Mr. Rosengren stated fence is now completed around ponding area.
Clerk was instructed to get bids for No. 2 fuel oil for Village Hall for coming year
from Lino Mileage and Ed Diers Pure Oil.
Mr. Rosengren made a motion that Sunday Liquor be put on the ballot for the coming
election. Seconded by Mr. Ross. Motion carried.
Mr. Locher was asked to check further on the Green River Ordinance.
P&Z Board minutes read.
Mr. Cardinal made a motion that we approve a variance for Mr. Duane Cardinal, 271 Elm
Street, Circle Pines, Minn. on the following described property:
All that part of the Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 9,
Township 31 North, Range 22 West, Anoka County, Minnesota, described as follows:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of said NW 1/4-SW 1/4; thence East, along the
North line thereof, 1047 feet to the point of beginning; thence continuing East,
along said North line, 120 feet; thence South at right angles, 660 feet; thence
West, at right angles, 120 feet; thence North at right angles, 660 feet to the
point of beginning, containing 1.8 acres, more or less, and subject to the existing
public road along the North line thereof; except east 5 feet thereof.
with the stipulation that this east 5 feet thereof be held for a roadway. Seconded
by Mr. Rosengren. Motion carried.
Mr. Cardinal gave a report on the Forrest Tagg property, about 5 free acres which he
wished to donate and 5 acres which we were to purchase.
Mr. Gotwald discussed the culverts for Mr. Anderson and recommended approval. Mr.
L'Allier made a motion that the Village provides a 15 inch cross culvert and install
two driveway culverts for which he would pay. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried.
Mr. Locher read letter from Mr. & Mrs. Elwood West. Mr. L'Allier made a motion that
Mr. Locher write Mr. Warren LeMire at Harris, Minn., to clean up his property on Main
Street. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Motion carried.
Mr..Rosengren made a motion that we give Mr. Eugene Evans, 200 20th Ave. No., St. Cloud,
a 30 day notice to remove his garage on Sunrise. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried.

Special use permit for a borrow pit near 35E discussed. Mr. Bohjanen made a motion that
Lino Lakes issues a special use permit to.Lindberg Construction for dirt removal and that
they post a bond for $12,000. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Mr. L'Allier abstained. Carried.
IIIBlaine's letter on storm sewers was discussed. Mr. Rosengren made a motion to table
Blaine's request. Seconded by Mr. L'Allier. Motion carried.
