The regular meeting of the Village of Lino Lakes was called to order at 8:00 PM October
23, 1967, with all members present.
Minutes of the October 9th meeting were read. Motion made by Mr. Bohjanen to accept
minutes as corrected. Seconded by Mr. L'Allier. Motion carried.
P&Z Board minutes read. Mr. Cardinal made a motion to grant a variance to Ord. No. 21
on the property owned by Mr. & Mrs. Joseph LaCasse known as: North 100 feet of S 875
feet West 183 feet of SW Quarter Sec. 25, Twn. 31N, Range 22W. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen.
Motion carried.
Mr. L'Allier made a motion to disapprove request made by Mr. Goodhue, on request of Mr.
Goodhue, to build on Birch Lane. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried.
Mr. Cardinal made a motion that the P&Z will meet:: on November 8th at 8:00 PM to set
up hearings on the commercial use of the Don Lundgren property for a land fill dump.
Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried.
Mr. L'Allier made a motion that the P&Z Board check with other villages and report back,
also that the Clerk make a spot check on charges made regarding building permits. Sec-
onded by Mr. Rosengren. Motion carried.
Mr. Cardinal made a motion that the Council accept the preliminary plat for the Bloom -
quist addition. Seconded by Mr. L'Allier. Motion carried.
Mr. Rosengren made a motion that the Village of Lino Lakes purchase a filing cabinet
for approximately $75.00 and a duplicating machine for $175.00. Seconded by Mr.
L'Allier. Motion carried.
Mr. L'Allier made a motion that we accept Midwest Planning & Research Inc.'s offer to
furnish us with a preliminary cost of planning for Village parks at no cost to our
Village. Seconded by Mr. Ross. Motion carried.
Mr. L'Allier made a motion that the Clerk advertise for bids on cutting of parks for
the coming year. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried.
Mr. L'Allier made a motion that the Road Dept. be authorized to grade roads and fill
in spots near the highway on roads now known as Maple, Orange and the crossroad between
them, this to be partial maintenance under Order No. 22, Sect. 15, also that people be
contancted to inform them of the Council's intent and that meetipgs will be scheduled
for this winter to hold hearings so the residents can bring the roads up to Village
standards and pay for this through assessments. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion
carried.
Mr. L'Allier made a motion that Mr. Leo Peppin of 381 Chestnut Street be contacted and
see what he intends to do with his property on Rolling Hills Drive. Seconded by Mr.
Cardinal. Motion carried.
Mr. L'Allier made a motion that our Attorney Ming before the Anoka County District
Court asking for a summary judgement in the Circle Pines gas issue; also that this
action in no way should jeopardize any future action Lino Lakes may decide to take
against the Circle Pines Gas people. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion carried.
Mr. Rosengren asked Mr. Locher to check on Nancy Drive and Vicki Lane to see if they
are Village streets.
Mr. Rosengren asked for up -to -date maps of all buried cables and pipes in the Village.
The Clerk will secure.
Mr. Bohjanen made a motion that the Engineer look at Nancy Drive and Vicki Lane and
have the road crew patch and fill holes as routine maintenance. Seconded by Mr.
L'Allier. Motion carried.
Mrs. Michaud presented a petition from residents around Rice Lake objecting to the
proposed storm sewer emptying into Rice Lake.

Mr. Rosengren made a motion that the Clerk write a letter to the Village of Blaine
reaffirming our opposition to the storm sewer and also inform them of the resolution
passed by the Park Board opposing the storm sewer. Seconded by Mr. L'Allier. Motion
carried.
Mr. Bohjanen made a motion that the Clerk prepare the resolution asked for by State
of Minnesota in accepting the plans through our Village for the freeways. Seconded by
Mr. Rosengren. Motion carried.
Mr. L'Allier made a motion to pay Mr. Myhre and Mr. Raymond of the police force for
time they lost in attending Court in Anoka. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried.
Mr. Ross asked that Council members think about selecting Mr. Ed Houle for man of the
year in Lino Lakes.
Mr. L'Allier made a motion to accept the budget in the amount of $77,950 and the amount
of 47 mills to be levied for the year 1968. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Motion carried.
Motion made by Mr. Rosengren to adjourn at 1100 PM. Seconded by Mr. L'Allier.

Special meeting of the Village of Lino Lakes was called to order by Acting Mayor Ralph
L'Allier at 8:00 PM November 8th, 1967, with trustees present. Mayor Ross was absent due
to another committment.

Mr. George Loss asked about the possibility of moving a 10-unit motel from Rice St.
and County Road B into the Village. The Council asked Mr. Loss to check on this
matter with the PO Board.
Motion made by Mr. Bohjanen to adjourn at 8:15 PM. Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Motion
carried.
