PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT
4A) Hire Paid On -Call Firefighters - Public Safety Director Swenson reviewed the process that has
been used to consider applicants for these positions. He is recommending approval of the hiring of the
four individuals brought forward. With that approval, they will begin their training on January 5. He
noted the names of the four candidates and gave a brief overview of their background and experience.
Chief Swenson noted that the first group of firefighter trainees is finishing up. There are additional
applicants being considered for the hiring process also.
He gave a brief update on the plans for the new fire station.
Council Member Rafferty moved to approve the hiring of Jason Clampitt, Jonas Werpy, Paul
Kartman and Brian Finke. Council Member Stoesz seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice
vote.

There was no report from the Public Services Department.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT REPORT
There was no report from the Community Development Department.
