MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Members Bergeson, Dahl, Lyden,
Neal, and Mayor Sullivan
MEMBERS ABSENT : None
Staff members present: City Administrator, Linda Waite Smith
Mayor Sullivan opened the meeting at 5:06 p.m.
Mayor Sullivan closed the meeting at 5:07 p.m.

CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S PERFORMANCE ►-V'
The purpose of the meeting was to conduct a o ce iew of Ms. Waite Smith,
City Administrator.
Ms. Waite Smith distributed a + i ded a summary of Council Member's
comments. Ms. Waite Smi ollowing items:
1. Items th the oun '" is generally pleased with.
2. Items th Council sees room for improvement in.
3. Suggestions from the City Council that will make her more effective in the
future.
4. Items the City Administrator needs in order for her to meet the City Council's
expectations successfully.
A copy of the memo from Ms. Waite Smith may be found at the end of these minutes.
Council noted it may be necessary for the Council to have a special meeting to discuss
Ms. Waite Smith's recommendations regarding staffing needs.
1111 The City Council gave Ms. Waite Smith an excellent rating. It was agreed that Ms. Waite
Smith needs to continue to work on City processes, working relationships between staff

and Council, and communication. Ms. Waite Smith's probationary period is officially
over. Council agreed to award Ms. Waite Smith a one step increase in salary.
There being no further discussion on this issue, the meeting was adjourned at 6:38 p.m.
These minutes were considered, corrected and approved at the regul. Council meeting held on
July 26, 1999.
