HomeMy WebLinkAbout05/27/2004 Council MinutesSPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING MAY 27, 2004 APPROVED 1 CITY OF LINO LAKES • 2 SPECIAL MEETING TO DISCUSS 3 2004 FARMLAND LEASE 4 MINUTES 5 6 7 DATE : May 27, 2004 8 TIME STARTED : 6:32 P.M. 9 TIME ENDED : 6:45 P.M. 10 MEMBERS PRESENT : Councilmembers Carlson, Dahl, Reinert, Stoltz 11 and Mayor Bergeson 12 MEMBERS ABSENT : None 13 STAFF PRESENT : City Administrator, Gordon Heitke 14 15 CONSIDER RESOLUTION NO. 04-76 AWARDING FARMLAND LEASE FOR 2004 16 17 City Administrator Heitke indicated that bids had been publicly opened at noon earlier in the day, and 18 the apparent high bidder was Andy Cardinal. Two bids had been received, and it was the opinion of 19 the City Attorney that the other bid, received from Paul Montain, was non-responsive as it contained 20 various options and a payment schedule. 21 22 Staff was recommending that the Council consider awarding the bid for the 2004 farmland lease to 23 Andy Cardinal in the amount of $1,600.00. •24 25 Councilmember Carlson suggested that photos be taken of the property in question to insure that 26 conditions of the lease agreement would be met. Staff was directed to take pictures. 27 28 Motion by Councilmember Carlson, seconded by Councilmember Reinert, for adoption of Resolution 29 No. 04-76, Accepting Bid and Awarding 2004 Farmland Lease Agreement to Andrew Cardinal.
