17 Mayor Bergeson advised the purpose of this hearing is to review the budget for 2006. He noted the
18 Council will not take action tonight, but will adopt the budget on December 19, 2005. He indicated
19 tonight the Council will hear public comments on the proposed 2006 budget.

21 Finance Director Rolek summarized the Staff budget and changes from 2005.

23 Councilmember Carlson asked if the resolution adopting the budget is not on tonight's agenda. She
24 also asked if the resolution regarding the stadium is on the agenda for tonight. Mayor Bergeson
25 replied both are correct.

27 Mayor Bergeson opened the public hearing at 6:37 p.m.

29 Paula Desjardins, 250 West Pine Street, stated her proposed line item tax increases are from 12
30 percent to 33 percent although she does not have City services such as water and sewer. She asked
31 Council to look at valuing services that are provided.

33 Barb Bor, 7707 20th Avenue North, stated it would be nice to see salary increase details in the budget.

35 Councilmember Reinert moved to close the public hearing at 6:40 p.m. Councilmember Stoltz
36 seconded the motion.

38 Motion carried unanimously.

42 There being no further business, Councilmember Reinert moved to adjourn at 6:40 p.m.
43 Councilmember Carlson seconded the motion.
