16 HEARING ON LIQUOR CODE VIOLATIONS

18 Captain Strege reported that compliance checks on city liquor establishments were conducted by the
19 Police Department on May 29, 2007. J& K Liquor and Jason's Bobby & Steve's Auto World were
20 both citied for underage sales. The department utilizes a Best Practices Grid to consider penalties
21 for compliance violations; their recommendations were presented.

MP 23 It was clarified that a stayed suspension would remain in place for one year and that all liquor
24 establishments receive training and notification when compliance checks will occur.

26 The hearing was opened. There was no one present who wished to address the council on the matter.

28 The matter was referred to the council meeting of September 10, 2007 for action.

32 There being no further business, Council Member O'Donnell moved to adjourn at 6:11 p.m. Council
33 Member Carlson seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
