HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-067 Council Resolution• • Council Member Carlson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 01-67 RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF STUDY FOR THE LINO LAKES MARKETPLACE IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, in response to a petition from property owners located on the east side of Lake Drive, south of 77th Street and north of Apollo Drive extended, in an area proposed to be platted as the Lino Lakes Marketplace, it is proposed to improve this area generally located in the South Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 8 by constructing utility and street improvements, and WHEREAS, notwithstanding claims regarding assessable costs made in the petition letter of May 8, 2001, the City will determine the benefiting properties and the assessable costs, and WHEREAS, the City proposes to assess the benefited property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: 1. That the proposed improvements be referred to the City Engineer for study and that he is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvements are feasible and as to whether they should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvements as recommended.
