HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-073 Council ResolutionCouncilmember Carlson moved its adoption: introduced the following resolution and CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 01-73 RESOLUTION CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON BUSINESS SUBSIDY POLICY AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO DRAFT A BUSINESS SUBSIDY POLICY WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Sections 116J.993 through 116J.995 (the "Statutes") require the adoption of criteria for the granting of business subsidies as defined in the Statutes; and WHEREAS, the Statutes require that a public hearing be held pursuant to the adoption of business subsidy criteria; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota as follows: 1. The city clerk -treasurer is authorized and directed , to prepare a notice for publication in the official newspaper setting a public hearing before the city council to consider this matter on Monday, July 23, 2001 at 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers at city hall. The notice shall be published in the newspaper at least 10 but not more than 30 days prior to the public hearing. 2. The city staff and consultants are authorized and directed to draft a Business Subsidy Policy and take any and all other actions necessary to bring this matter before the city council at the time of the public hearing.
