HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-075 Council Resolutionp1 • Council Member Carlson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 01-75 RESOLUTION UPDATING 2001 FEE SCHEDULE TO INCLUDE NEW PARK DEDICATION FEES WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes City Council adopted Ordinance 06-01 to establish park dedication requirements, and WHEREAS, the ordinance establishes the method for calculating cash fees in lieu of land dedication, and WHEREAS, the fee amounts are subject to periodic change and therefore not included in the ordinance, and WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes City Council has approved Resolution No. 01-72 IDestablishing park dedication fee amounts of $1,665 per residential unit or $2,175 per acre for commercialindustrial property. • NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes City Council authorizes staff to incorporate park dedication fees contained in Resolution No. 01-72 into the 2001 Fee Schedule previously adopted by Resolution No. 01-28. Because the fees are subject to change, they are not included in the ordinance but in a separate resolution, No. 01-72. Fees for 2001 are $1,665.00 per residential unit and $2,175.00 per acre for commercial/industrial property. They become effective on July 5, 2001, which is 30 days after publication of the ordinance. Resolution No. 01-75 authorizes staff to include the park and trail dedication fee in the 2001 Fee Schedule with a notation that the fees become effective July 5, 2001. OPTIONS: 1. Adopt Resolution No. 01-75 updating 2001 Fee Schedule. 2. Decline to adopt Resolution No. 01-75 updating 2001 Fee Schedule. 3. Return to staff for further review and/or action. RECOMMENDATION: 1.
