COUNTY OF ANOKA
ORDINANCE NO. 11-05
AN ORDINANCE OFFERING THE SALE OF A PARCEL OF LAND
BY THE CITY OF LINO LAKES
The City Council of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota does ordain:
I.
The City of Lino Lakes (the "City") and the YMCA of Greater St. Paul ("YMCA")
entered into a Development Agreement dated June 16, 2005 (the "Development
Agreement"). The Development Agreement provided, among other things, for the
conveyance, under certain terms and conditions, of certain property owned by the City
described as follows:
Lot 1, Block 1, The Village No. 3
(the "Property"). The city council of the City has determined that the Property is no
longer needed by the City for any public purpose, and that it is the best interest of the City
to convey the Property to the YMCA subject to the terms of this ordinance and the
Development Agreement.
II.
The city council of the City authorizes sale of the property to the YMCA, subject to any
additional terms and conditions of the Development Agreement. The mayor and city
clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute any documents as may be necessary in
order to sell the Property in accordance with this ordinance and the Development
Agreement. Proceeds from the sale of the Property shall be used in accordance with the
requirements of the city charter.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after 30 days following its
publication, in accordance with section 3.09 of the city charter.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing ordinance was
introduced by Council Member Dahl and was duly seconded by
Council Member Reinert and upon a vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof:
Dahl, Reinert, Stoltz,Carlson, Bergeson

TOPIC: Ordinance No. 11-05: Second Reading offering the
sale of a parcel of land to the Chain of Lakes YMCA
VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5
BACKGROUND:
On June 16. 2005 the City Council entered into a development agreement with
the YMCA of Greater Saint Paul, wherein the City agreed to convey the 6.72 -
acre parcel of land in the Legacy at Woods Edge project for the construction of a
YMCA. According to the City Charter, a conveyance of city -owned land must be
done by ordinance. The ordinance will be in effect 30 days after its publication in
the local newspaper.
The YMCA has submitted a site plan for City approval. The details of tr)e
financing arrangements will be brought to the City Council in December.
OPTIONS:
3. Approve the Second Reading of Ordinance No. 11-05
2. Do not approve the Ordinance
3. Return to staff for further consideration.
