ORDINANCE NO. 10-02
AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE 18-95
ESTABLISHING POSITION AND DUTIES OF ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR
WHEREAS, the City Council of Lino Lakes adopted Ordinance 18-95 to
establish an electrical inspector position rather than receive services from the State of
Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the contractor acting as electrical inspector for the City has failed to
comply with contract requirements and the contract has been terminated; and
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has the ability and availability to provide
electrical inspections; and
WHEREAS, the State cannot contract with the City to provide services unless
Ordinance 18-95 is repealed; and
WHEREAS, termination of the previous contract has occurred on very short
notice and the City does not want to deprive property owners of electrical inspections that
are necessary for health and safety and therefore declares this an Emergency Ordinance
that is effective the date it is adopted .
NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF LINO LAKES ORDAINS:
Ordinance 18-95, Establishing the Position and Duties of Electrical Inspector is repealed.
Passed by the Lino Lakes City Council this 9th day of September, 2002.
