HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-020 Council OrdinancesCouncil Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES ORDINANCE NO. 20 — 01 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 612.05 (H) OF THE LINO LAKES CITY CODE, PROVIDING AUTHORIZATION FOR BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS FOR TRANSIENT MERCHANTS, PEDDLERS, CANVASSERS AND SOLICITORS. The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota does ordain: Section 612.05 (H) is amended to read (added portions are underscored) Sec. 612.05 Applications. H. A statement as to whether or not the applicant or the person managing the business has been convicted of any crime, misdemeanor or violation of any municipal ordinance, involving activities licensed under this Chapter, the nature of the offense and the punishment or penalty assessed therefore. Criminal History Data should be verified by the Police Department utilizing the Minnesota Criminal Justice Information System. The applicant must consent to allow the criminal history checks to be completed, an applicant's failure to provide consent may disqualify the applicant from obtaining the requested license. This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage by the City Council. Passed by the City Council of Lino Lakes this Bch day of October, 2001 L4.
