I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified City Clerk of the City of Lino Lakes,
Minnesota, do hereby certify that the attached document is a true copy of Resolution No.
01- 194 with the original thereof on file in the City Clerk's office, and the same is a full,
true and complete copy insofar as the same relates to:
RESOLUTION NO. 01-194 ACCEPTING DONATION FROM THE
CENTENNIAL FIRE DISTRICT RELIEF ASSOCIATION.

Council Member Carlson introduced the following resolution
and moved its adoption:
CITY OF LINO LAKES
�-- RESOLUTION NO. 01- 194
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM THE CENTENNIAL FIRE DISTRICT
RELIEF ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the Centennial Fire District communities have
recognized a need for a photo identification portable
badge system; and
WHEREAS, the IdentiSys photo identification system would be used
to make identification badges for employees of the
Centennial Fire District communities; and
WHEREAS, this portable system is a convenient system to be
utilized in the field at an emergency scene, disaster
scene or command center; and
WHEREAS, special identification cards can be issued in a
relatively short time to individuals allowed to enter
restricted areas; and
WHEREAS, the various Centennial Fire District communities could
incorporate their city logo on the badges; and
WHEREAS, the Centennial Fire District Relief Association was
made aware of the desire to purchase this system and
has donated $8,000.00 to the City to defer the cost of
this system which includes a lap top computer, printer,
badging software, digital camera, back drop tri -pod and
various supplies,
WHEREAS, the monies will be appropriated to the General Fund in
the following manner:
Increase Revenue - Contributions
Increase Police - Capital Outlay
$8,000.00
$8,000.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes
hereby accepts the donation of $8,000.00 to purchase the system
and wishes to express its gratitude to the Centennial Fire
District Relief Association for its donation.
Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 10th day of December,
2001.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Council MemberDahl and upon vote being
taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Reinert, Dahl, Bergeson, Carlson & O'Donnell.
The following voted against same: None.
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

Consideration of Resolution No 01 - 194
Accepting Donation from the Centennial
Fire District Relief Association to
purchase a Photo Identification Card
System.
Simple Majority
The Centennial Fire District has graciously donated
$8,000.00 to purchase an identification card system to be
available for the Centennial Fire District communities.
This system consists of a laptop computer, printer, digital
camera, badging software and supplies.
The purpose of Resolution 01- 194 is to accept and publicly
thank the Centennial Fire District Relief Association for
their generous donation.
OPTIONS
1. Adopt Resolution No. 01-194 accepting the donation.
2. Return the Resolution to staff for further information.
RECOMMENDATION
Option No. 1
