RESOLUTION NO. 02-27
RESOLUTION ORDERING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS — 2002 WEAR
COURSE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes wishes to contract for placement of the wear course on new
roadways after about 80% of the Lots are built on, and
WHEREAS, the City will obtain public bids for the installation of the improvements,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO
LAKES, MINNESOTA:
1. The City Engineer is designated as the engineer for this improvement and he is directed to
prepare the plans and specifications for the construction of the 2002 Wear Course project.
Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 8th

Project
VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority
BACKGROUND:
The City undertakes a paving project each year to place the final layer of bituminous, known as
the wear course, in those developments where the majority of the lots have been built on. The
funding for this work is provided by assessments to the respective subdivisions. The
subdivisions receiving wearing course this year include Clearwater Creek 3rd Addition, Trappers
Crossing 3rd Addition, Peregrine Pass, and Pheasant Hills Preserve 1 lth Addition.
The schedule for this project is as follows:

The engineering budget for preparation of the plans and specifications is $4,900.
OPTIONS:
1. Return to staff for further review.
2. Adopt Resolution Number 02 - 27, order the plans and specifications for the 2002 Wear
Course Project.
3. Not adopt Resolution No. 02 — 27.
RECOMMENDATION:
Option No. 2 - Staff recommends that Resolution Number 02 - 27 be adopted.
