RESOLUTION NO. 02-51
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM THE CIRCLE -LEX LADIES
AUXILIARY VFW POST #6583 TO PURCHASE EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT FOR THE
DEPARTMENT'S MOTORCYCLE
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
radio communication is an essential means of safety
while patrolling the city; and
patrolling on the motorcycle and answering radio calls
is somewhat limited without this equipment; and
WHEREAS, emergency equipment is available to allow for ear
pieces to be installed inside a helmet to allow for
hands free radio communication and a public address
system; and
WHEREAS, the Circle -Lex Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #6583 has made
a donation in the amount of $500.00 to the City of Lino
Lakes for the cost of this equipment; and
WHEREAS, the monies will be appropriated to the General Fund in
the following manner:
Increase Revenue - Contributions
Increase Expenditures -Small Tools
$500.00
$500.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes
hereby accepts the donation of $500.00 for the cost of emergency
equipment and wishes to express its gratitude to the Circle -Lex
Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #6583 for its donation.
Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 10th day of June,
2002.

Simple Majority
The Circle -Lex Ladies Auxiliary VFW, Post #6583 has donated
$500.00 to the Lino Lakes Police Department to be used to
purchase needed emergency equipment for the department's
motorcycle. The purpose of Resolution No. 02-51 is to
publicly thank the Circle -Lex Ladies Auxiliary VFW, Post
#6583 for their generous donation.
OPTIONS
1. Adopt Resolution No. 02 - 51 accepting the donation.
2. Return the Resolution to staff for further information.
