RESOLUTION NO. 02-74
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM
THE CENTENNIAL FIRE DISTRICT FOR KITE DAY
WHEREAS, the Centennial Fire District supports the Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation
Department and:
WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department held its seventh annual Kite Day
on June 1, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the event is free to the families of Lino Lakes; and
WHEREAS, the Centennial Fire District was made aware of the event and the desire of the
Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department to conduct Kite Day with the support of a program
sponsor and has donated $400 to the City to defer the cost of this event.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, the
Council accepts the Centennial Fire District's donation of $400 to help finance Kite Day and
wishes to express its sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Centennial Fire District for its
donation.
Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 22nd day of July, 2002.

Donation From Centennial Fire District for Kite Day
VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority
BACKGROUND:
The Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department held its seventh annual Kite Day
event on Saturday, June 1 at Rice Lake Elementary School. This event is free to area
children. Approximately 300 kites were distributed.
The Centennial Fire District, as a program sponsor, has graciously donated $400 to
help defer the cost of this event. The Centennial Fire District continues to be a loyal
supporter of several programs offered by the Parks and Recreation Department.
OPTIONS:
1. Approve Resolution 02-74, accepting donation from Centennial Fire District for Kite
Day.
2. Do not approve Resolution 02-74.
RECOMMENDATION:
Option 1.
