CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 02-127
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARD CONTRACT OF TRI-PLEX
PANEL FOR LIFT STATION NO. 4
WHEREAS, the City advertised for bids for the construction and installation of a new Tri-Plex
Panel for Lift Station No. 4 and;
WHEREAS, the City accepted three sealed bids and publicly opened them on September 12,
2002 and;
WHEREAS, the lowest bid was received by SyCom, Inc. in the amount of $22,189 and;
WHEREAS, the substantial completion date for the project is December 15, 2002.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, that
the lowest bid be accepted and awarded to SyCom, Inc. in the amount of $22,189.
Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 23rd Day of September, 2002.

TOPIC: Resolution 02-127, Consideration of Accepting Bids and
Award Contract of Tri-Plex Panel for Lift Station No. 4
Vote Required: 3/5 Vote
BACKGROUND:
Sealed bids were received and publicly opened on September 12, 2002 for the construction and
installation of a new tri-plex lift station panel. This replacement of the panel on Lift Station #4
is to accommodate the increased flow due to expansion within the city. The results of the bid
opening are presented below. City Council action is required to award a construction contract to
the lowest responsible bidder.
CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID
SyCom, Inc. $22,189
Total Control, Inc. $27,600
In Control, Inc. $31,538
City staff is recommending that the contract be awarded to SyCom, Inc. in the amount of
$22,189. Funding for this project is the area -and -unit fund. The substantial completion date for
this project is December 15, 2002.
OPTIONS:
1. Adopt Resolution No. 02-127.
2. Return to staff for further review.
3. Not adopt Resolution No. 02-127.
RECOMMENDATION:
Option 1.
