RESOLUTION NO. 02-164
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CERTIFICATION OF DELINQUENT WATER AND
SEWER UTILITY CHARGES FOR COLLECTION WITH THE 2002 PROPERTY TAXES
PAYABLE IN 2003
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Code Section 401.29 and Section 402.14, Subd. 5, the City
Clerk has prepared a list of properties having delinquent water and sewer
charges to be certified to the Anoka County Auditor for collection with the
2002 property taxes, payable in 2003, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing relative to the certification of such
delinquent water and sewer charges, and
WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was mailed to affected property owners.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Lino Lakes, Minnesota
that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to certify the delinquent water and sewer charges
as indicated on the attached listing to the Anoka County Auditor to be collected with the
2002 property taxes, payable in 2003.
Adopted by the City Council of Lino Lakes, Minnesota this 28th day of October, 2002.

Utility Charges for collection with 2002 Property Taxes Payable in

BACKGROUND
Simple Majority (3/5)
Staff annually brings before the City Council delinquent water and sewer utility charges for
certification to the County Auditor for collection with the following year property taxes. A public
hearing was scheduled for this evening to give affected property owners an opportunity to speak
to this impending action. Affected property owners received mailed notice of this proceeding.
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution 02-164 authorizing the certification of
delinquent water and sewer utility charges to be collected with 2002 property taxes payable in
2003.

1) Adopt Resolution No. 02-164.
2) Return to staff for further review.
3) Do not adopted Resolution No. 02-164.
