CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 00-26
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATIONS FROM FAST BREAK CORNER
MARKET AND LINO LAKES STATE BANK
WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department will be installing scoreboards at
Sunrise Field #1 and Field #2 and
WHEREAS, Fast Break Corner Market and Lino Lakes State Bank have agreed to contribute
$1,200 each to help defray the costs of this project; and
WHEREAS, a 4' x 4' advertising panel will be installed adjacent to the scoreboard for a period
of three years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, the
Council accepts the Fast Break Corner Market and Lino Lakes State Bank donations of $1,200
each to help finance the installation of scoreboards at Sunrise Park and wishes to express its
sincere gratitude and appreciation.
Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 13th day of March, 2000.

TOPIC: Consideration of Resolution 00-26, Accept Donations
for Scoreboards at Sunrise Park
VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority
BACKGROUND:
The Parks Department will be installing electronic scoreboards at Sunrise Park Field #1
and Field #2. Staff received proposals from two companies and recommend that Aim
Electronics be awarded this project. Attached are specifications for the proposed
scoreboards (Model BA -518). The scoreboard panel will be forest green with a white
border stripe. The approximate total cost of the scoreboards, cable, control console
with carrying case, beams, freight, and sales tax is $5,464.35.
Two local businesses, Fast Break Corner Market and Lino Lakes State Bank, have
agreed to contribute money to help defray the costs of this project. Each company will
contribute $1,200. A 4' x 4' advertising panel will be located adjacent to the scoreboard
for a period of three years (see attached sheet). Juleen signs will be producing the
advertising panels.
OPTIONS:
1. Approve Resolution 00-26, accepting $1,200 from Fast Break Corner Market and
$1,200 from Lino Lakes State Bank for the scoreboard project at Sunrise Park.
2. Do not approve Resolution 00-26.
