HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000-061 Council ResolutionCouncil Member -74/6-9/21--introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES COUNTY OF ANOKA RESOLUTION NO. 00 - 61 RESOLUTION APPROVING SOLICITOR'S/PEDDLERS LICENSE WHEREAS, LeeAnn Michelle Mather of Southwestern Company has complied with all of the provisions of Ordinance No. 01-89 of the Lino Lakes City Code for obtaining the necessary license for a profit business: NOW, THEREFORE, by order of the Lino Lakes City Council, and virtue thereof, the said business, Southwest Company, is hereby authorized to solicit for their own organization for a period of six -months (6) beginning May ZZ, 2000 and ending November 2-2,2000 subject to all conditions and provisions of said ordinance. AGENDA ITEM 3G STAFF ORIGINATOR: Ry-Chel Gaustad, CMC City Clerk DATE: May 22, 2000 TOPIC: Resolution No. 00-61, Approving Solicitor's/Peddlers License BACKGROUND: LeeAnn Michelle Mather of Southwestern Company has submitted an application to go door to door and solicit educational study guides, handbooks and early learning products for young children. Ms. Mather has complied with all of the provisions of the Lino Lakes City Code for obtaining the necessary license, with the exception of the completed background check. OPTIONS: 1. Approve Resolution No. 00-61, contingent upon a satisfactory background check. 2. Deny Resolution No. 00-61 RECOMMENDATION: Option No. 1, Approve Resolution No. 00-61, contingent upon a satisfactory background check.
