RESOLUTION NO.2000-76
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM RESIDENT BART VOLKMANN OF TWO
CELLULAR TELEPHONES
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
the Lino Lakes Police Department equips patrol squad
cars with a cellular phone; and
police department personnel utilize cellular phones in
non -patrol functions; and
funding for additional cellular phones was not part of
the 2000 Department of Public Safety budget; and
resident, Bart Volkmann annually updates his personal
cellular phone, and asked whether the police department
would have a use for these cellular phones; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes
hereby accepts the cellular phones and wishes to express its
gratitude to Bart Volkmann for his donation.
Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 14th day of August,
2000.

Accepting Donation of two cellular
phones from resident Bart Volkmann
Simple Majority
Lino Lakes resident, Bart Volkmann has graciously donated
two cellular telephones for use within the Department of
Public Safety. Squad cars are equipped with cellular
phones, however, police personnel utilize cellular phones in
a non -patrol functions.
The purpose of Resolution 2000-76is to accept and publicly
thank Bart Volkmann for his generous donation.
OPTIONS
1. Adopt Resolution No. 2000 -76 accepting the donation.
2. Return the Resolution to staff for further information.
