AGENDA ITEM 7J
STAFF ORIGINATOR: John Powell, City Engineer
COUNCIL MEETING DATE: August 28, 2000
TOPIC: PUBLIC HEARING, Main Street Trunk Utilities
VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 Vote required to close the hearing
BACKGROUND:
This feasibility report was prepared in response to a petition from the Bluebill
Ponds subdivision. The Main Street Trunk Utilities project involves the extension
of trunk sanitary sewer and watermain along Main Street from just west of Nancy
Drive to Wood Duck Trail to serve Bluebill Ponds. On July 24, 2000, the City
Council received the feasibility report for this project and set a date for a Public
Hearing. The only change to the feasibility report is the schedule that has been
revised to reflect Spring, 2001 construction. A copy of the revised schedule is
attached. I will present the information contained in the feasibility report at the
Public Hearing.
OPTIONS:
1. Close the public hearing.
2. Continue the public hearing.
RECOMMENDATION:
Option No. 1 - Staff recommends dosing the public hearing.
