HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-050 Council ResolutionMember Bohjanen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 50 - 89 RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADOPTION OF A TAX INCREMENT FINANCING PLAN FOR TAX INCREMENT DISTRICT NO. 1-4 WHEREAS, the City Council has establihed Development District No. 1 pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.124 through 469.134; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to consider the creation of Tax Increment Financing District No. 1-4 within the Development District No. 1, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.174 through 469.179, for the purpose of encouraging development within a portion of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota as follows: 1. Holmes & Graven, Chartered is hereby authorized and directed to prepare a Tax Increment Financing Plan (Plan) for TIF district No. 1-4 and to file a copy thereof with the city administrator. 2. The city administrator is authorized and directed to prepare a notice for publication in the official newspaper setting a public hearing on the Plan before the City Council on the 11th day of September, 1989, at 7:45p.m. in the council chambers. The notice shall be published in the newspaper at least 10 but more than 30 days prior to such public hearing. 3. The city administrator is hereby authorized and directed to submit a copy of the Plan to the county and school district for comment and to notify the same of the time and place of the hearing to be held before the City Council on the Plan. 4. The city administrator and consultants are authorized and directed to take all other actions necessary to bring the Plan before the City Council at the time of the public hearing.
