HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-074 Council ResolutionCouncil Member Bohjanen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 74 — 91 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF LINO LAKES TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE METROPOLITAN WASTE CONTROL COMMISSION (MWCC) TO HAVE MWCC PAY THE CITY OF LINO LAKES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A LOCAL TRUNK SEWER THAT WILL PHASE-OUT MWCC LIFT STATION L-9 (TOTEM TRAIL AND BIRCH STREET) WHEREAS: The City of Lino Lakes has requested MWCC to provide funds in the amount of $100,557.12 (construction costs) plus an estimated $30,000 for rights-of-way, administration, legal and engineering costs for the construction of a gravity sewer that eliminates the need for MWCC Lift Station L-9, and WHEREAS: On July 16, 1991 the MWCC authorized its Chair and Chief Administrator to enter into an agreement with the City of Lino Lakes to fund construction of the facilities that will eliminate MWCC Lift Station L-9 in the estimated amount of $145,557.12, and WHEREAS: Arcon Construction has agreed in writing to allow the City of Lino Lakes to hold their bid on Division III until August 15, 1991 to allow MWCC to consider participating in the project, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: 1. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the MWCC to fund construction of facilities that will eliminate MWCC Lift Station L-9 in the estimated amount of $145,557.12. Anderson, Clerk -Treasurer The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member Kuether and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Neal, Kuether, Reinert, Bohjanen. The following voted against same: none, Mayor Bisel was absent Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
