HomeMy WebLinkAbout1993-093 Council ResolutionCouncil Member Neal moved its adoption: introduced the following resolution and CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 93 — 93 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF THE GRANT APPLICATION AND EXECUTION OF THE GRANT AGREEMENT — FEDERAL POLICE HIRING SUPPLEMENT PROGRAM BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lino Lakes City Council authorizes application to the United States Department of Justice for funds under the Police Hiring Supplement Program. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Lino Lakes Police Chief is authorized to act as the representative for the City of Lino Lakes in applying for said funds. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes will proved matching funds as is required under the grant program. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes will pay the full cost of salary and benefits for officers hired under the Police Hiring Supplemental Program at the end of the three (3) year grant period. The following voted against same: None, Council Member Kuether was absent. Whereupon, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. SUPPLEMENT TO FORM 424 STANDARD ASSURANCE I, David J. Pecchia, Chief of Police for the City of Lino Lakes, do hereby certify that Federal funds made available under this grant will not be used to supplant existing local funds, but will be used to increase the amount of local funds that will be available for law enforcement purposes in the absence of Federal funds.
