HomeMy WebLinkAbout1994-057 Council ResolutionCouncil Member Elliott moved its adoption: introduced the following resolution and CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 94 — 57 RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS FOR THE HODGSON WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of the Hodgson Watermain Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: NAME AMOUNT OF BID Eagle Pipeline Contractors $217,891.50 Northdale Construction $241,100.85 Lumbar Mechanical, Inc. $287,816.25 Ro-So Contracting $331,853.00 WHEREAS, Chapter 8, Section 8.03 of the Lino Lakes City Charter requires that when bids are more than 10% over the City Engineer's estimate, all bids are to be rejected and can be rebid one more time, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: 1. All above stated bids are rejected. 2. The City Engineer is directed to re -advertise for bids. Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 12th day of September, 1994. Vernon F. Y Anderson, Clerk -Treasurer The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member Bergeson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bergeson, Elliott, Neal. RESOLUTION NO. 94 - 57 Page -2- The following voted against same: None, Council Member Kuether and Mayor Reinert were absent. Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
