HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996-044 Council ResolutionCouncilmember Kuether introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: LINO LAKES CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 96-44 NEGATIVE DECLARATION OF NEED FOR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT (EIS) FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW CENTENNIAL MIDDLE SCHOOL ELM STREET WHEREAS, an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) was prepared for the Centennial Middle School project on Elm Street and sent to the distribution list as required in the EQB Monitor and in the local newspaper, and WHEREAS, the thirty day comment period ended on April 24, 1996, and WHEREAS, the EAW and issues raised during the comment period have been reviewed by the City of Lino Lakes, and WHEREAS, the City Council acknowledges the issues raised and has responded to each issue, and WHEREAS, the City Council has made a decision, based on the EAW and comments received that an EIS is not necessary, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes finds a negative declaration of the need for an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for construction of the new Centennial Middle School on Elm Street. Adopted by the Lino Lakes y Council this 29th day of April, 1996. 14 ATTEST: Marilyn . Anderson, J n L. Landers, Mayor Clerk/Treasurer The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember' Neal and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bergeson, Kuether, Neal, Landers.. • and the following voted against same. None, Council Member Lyden was absent. Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
