HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996-080 Council ResolutionCouncil Member Kuether introduced the following resolution and moved `-- its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION 96-80 RESOLUTION ADOPTING A HARASSMENT POLICY WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes is committed to creating a work environment that is free of harassment of any kind, and WHEREAS, Employees must be free to exercise their duties without fear of verbal or physical intimidation or duress, and WHEREAS, Both Title 7 of the Federal Civil Rights Act of 1964, and Chapter 363 of Minnesota State Statute prohibits harassment in the work place, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota, that: 1. That the attached policy on Harassment be adopted. Adopted by the City Council on this 22 day of July, 1996. Mari yn G. Anderson, Clerk -Treasurer L. Landers, Mayor The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member Bergeson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bergeson, Kuether, Neal, Landers. The following voted against same: None, Council Member Lyden was absent. Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted.
